Traditionally in aromatherapy treatments mountain pine is associated with the following therapeutic properties:

• antiseptic, antiviral and antimicrobial action, mucolytic and expectorant. It is also used as an anti-inflammatory and analgesic, to relieve muscle pain.

• for respiratory problems such as bronchitis, cough, sinusitis, cold and flu, and generally catarrhal problems, used in inhalation;

• as an environmental fragrance as a stimulant of the central nervous system and as a mosquito repellent.
